New Products Launched
The past and current decades were rooted in innovation, in-house technological revolution, filing numerous patents and launching new products.
Our origin dates back to 1933 when we were known as Garware Motors Pvt. Ltd. This was the time when we traded imported cars. Two decades later, we transitioned into plastic molding and extrusion, and Garware Motors Pvt. Ltd. became Garware Plastics Pvt. Ltd. Thus began our journey into making plastic parts, which eventually led us to make world-class polyester films.
The past and current decades were rooted in innovation, in-house technological revolution, filing numerous patents and launching new products.
The nineties was the era of high technology. We took on new challenges, established new plants, and improved efficiency with raw material capacity installation for Polyester Chips manufacturing.
In the eighties, we produced sure winners like Garfilm, Sun Control, and X–Ray film – all polyester-based and indigenously developed, matching strides with developments worldwide. We became Public Ltd. Co. and got listed in BSE. We received the US patent and commission for a polyester chips plant. 1980s was when the commencement of Audio, Video, and Computer Tapes happened.
By the seventies, we had set out to conquer the entire world. Our expansion plans were launched with exports to the Middle East. To meet the growing demands, two new plants were set up – polyester film plant in Aurangabad and metallizing unit in Nasik. New BOPET Film Line I got commissioned.
The sixties brought new challenges in the form of new technologies. We responded by expanding our product line to include PVC pipes, fittings, and allied products. The end of the sixties saw the emergence of polyester films and a whole new world of possibilities opened up. We also started producing molded luggage and molded TV cabinets.
In the fifties, our company led the race by manufacturing injection moulded and extruded plastic products like television casings, fan blades, and radio cabinets.
The forties witnessed the birth of Garware, a simple manufacturing unit producing plastic buttons for the Navy. We later diversified our product base to include knitting needles, pen holders, and toothbrushes.
